Update

I'm sure most of you are well aware of the Champions League results so I won't blab on about that too much. Here's a quick summary:

Man U showed Milan how it's done in an impressive performance that truly displays the quality of football in the Premier League. Highlights were of course Rooney's two goals, Ji Sung Parks nice finish and to a lesser extent Fletchers goal.

Lyon scraped past Real Madrid in what turned out to be a fairly interesting competition. When Ronaldo scored in the sixth minute it looked like an uphill battle for the French team but Pjanić nabbed it in the 75th minute before Lyon shut up shop and defended waves of Real Madrid attacks. As Madrid pushed higher and higher up there were two quality chances where Lyon could of sealed it but both chances were scoffed. Lyon showed that they're no push overs and I was pretty impressed.

Arsenal chopped up Porto in what was a surprisingly boring match excluding Nasri's goal which was a tasty combination of a quality player and woe full defending.

Bayern Munich went through on away goals which is good for me as everyone loves Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben, von Bommel, Phillip Lahm (An ex-player of mine in Fifa manager mode) and Miroslav Klose to name a few

Lastly down in the depths of the Europa Cup liverpool (don't deserve a capital L) managed to rub salt in their wounds with a performance that reminds one of Derby County.

"This is how many months I'll still be at this club"

  1. hahaha nice caption jordan.

the arsenal vs porto match wasn't boring at all. it was full of fast paced passing and skills. no fabregas either.

can't wait for the chelsea vs inter match. it should be interesting.
